WHAT IS LATISSE?
The Latisse solution, made of bimatoprost ophthalmic solution at 0.03 percent, is the only FDA-approved treatment to help you grow thicker, natural eyelashes. Results can typically be seen after eight weeks. Fullest results occur between 12 and 16 weeks.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
It’s a once-per-day application treatment that works gradually and effectively. You apply the solution with a brush to the base of your upper eyelashes, as instructed by your doctor. Then, results start to show in as little as 8 weeks, with full results in 16 weeks. Latisse is now available in Kelowna!
LONGER EYELASHES – THE ANSWER IS LATISSE
There are many different things that we like to do to make ourselves as beautiful as can be. We do what we can to keep our bodies looking youthful through good dieting and exercise, and of course, there is the help oflaser hair removalto keep our bodies silky smooth.Botoxis great for doing away with wrinkles and fine lines. But there are ways to beautify ourselves that not everyone considers.
Many people absolutely love the look of longer eyelashes. But, as many models in magazines have shown us, the adding of fake eyelashes is becoming the norm. Now, not only are fake eyelashes not meant to be permanent, they are also not the best way to obtain a natural look, and this can be just as important as the length of the eyelashes themselves.
HOW LONG DOES LATISSE TAKE TO BEGIN WORKING?
Latisse is a medication that was initially used to treat glaucoma. They found that patients taking this medication (eye drops) grew longer, thicker eyelashes. So this medication (for eyelashes) is applied with a brush just to the eyelids (not in the eyes unless you have glaucoma) and it usually takes a few months to see significant results in terms of eyelash growth and thickness. They are working on other applications for this medication as well, and in time we will see what they come up with next.
LATISSE FOR EYELASH GROWTH
Latisse is a once-a-day application treatment. You apply the solution using a brush to the base of your upper eyelashes. It helps your eyelashes to grow thanks to its active ingredient known as bimatoprost. It has shown to affect the growth of eyelash hair in two ways:
- Firstly, it increases the length of the eyelash growth phase, which is also known as the“anagen” phase.
- Secondly, it increases the number of hairs that grow during this phase.

Our laser hair removal treatments work much differently than traditional hair removal practices such as shaving and waxing. Laser hair removal targets the hair follicles on a specific area of the body and the procedure damages these follicles. Over a number of treatments, the root will become permanently damaged and will prevent the hair from growing back.

A Fractional Carbon Dioxide Laser is similar to an Erbium Laser in that they both vaporize water to remove layers of problem skin and stimulate collagen growth. A Fractional CO2 laser, however, is a much better skin tightening laser and therefore is used for the treatment of deeper skin problems.
